My background
If you spend ANY amount of time with me three topics will come up... family, food and travel. While I may have spent the last 3 decades as an educator... from teaching kindergarten to being a principal, and now a semi-retired national presenter for a literacy-based company, I still spent my free time focused on those three core concepts.
I firmly believe that we change the world by loving our families. I've tried to do my part by not only caring for them and feeding them, but also by exposing them to other cultures. Our cultures are the music and art that inspire us, the foods that remind us of home, the ways that we simply "do" things. Through travel both near and far, we can find what people love about their homes and their cultures. We learn to see people with a new perspective, and in that comes a love and appreciation for the world around us.
I started this travel company with the urging of a dear friend. She knew my passions were to travel and share my love of food with others. For the past 30+ years, my husband and I have intentionally stolen away a few weeks each year to explore the US, to reconnect, find peace, and get a "taste" of this great big world of ours. I hope to help you find that weekend get-a-way or the ultimate vacation that you've been dreaming of for years... tasting your way as you go, just one bite at a time... creating memories and leaving only crumbs!
